Program Overview
Camp Easterseals Virginia believes every camper deserves to experience the joy of summer camp. Nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains near Roanoke, Virginia, our overnight camp is designed for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. Our trained and compassionate staff adapt all activities to meet the needs of each camper, ensuring everyone can participate fully and safely. Whether it’s paddling a canoe, conquering the rock wall or enjoying the glow of a campfire, every moment is crafted to encourage independence, build confidence and create lifelong memories.
We offer summer camp sessions, a fun-filled family camp and weekend respites throughout the year. Our campers enjoy:

“Hi! I’m Amber. I’ve been part of the Camp Easterseals Virginia family since 2014. I started as a counselor and cabin leader before bringing my nursing skills to camp in 2017. And now I’m so excited to be your Camp Director!”
Amber is passionate about creating a space where everyone feels seen, celebrated, and empowered to shine. Whether she’s leading staff, cheering on campers, or showing off her best moves at the camp dance, Amber’s energy and love for camp create unforgettable experiences for everyone who calls camp home. Hannah, Assistant Camp Director
“I’m Hannah. I first joined Camp Easterseals Virginia as a horse specialist and later took on the role of Summer Programs Coordinator. Now, as Assistant Camp Director, I get to combine my background in Special Education with my love of Camp to help create welcoming, inclusive and joy-filled experiences for all.
From planning new adventures to swapping horse stories and supporting staff, Hannah brings creativity, passion and fresh ideas to everything she does. Hannah excels at making Camp a place where people always want to come back!
