Child Placement Therapist

Do you have a passion for supporting youths and families? At Easterseals PORT Health, we’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our Child Placement team in and around the Jacksonville area. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive community-based team, your mission will be supporting and reuniting youths 0-20 with their families.

What You’ll Do

As a therapist on the Child Placement team you will meet with youths and families on a weekly basis supporting and encouraging positive behavior changes that lead to reunification. Some of the daily and weekly tasks of the child placement therapist are CCA’s, CFT meetings, PCP development, crisis intervention, foster parent training and transition services such as referrals to other supportive services.  The therapist can provide services in multiple locations to include therapeutic foster homes and the home or a community location. Service area is Craven, Jones and Pamlico counties.

This opportunity offers a flexible Monday-Friday work schedule with some evening or weekend flexibility for program and client needs for youths and families that may be at work or school. This typically includes providing support late afternoons between 3:30 and 7:30 pm. The team rotates on-call phone support 1 week per month.

What We’re Looking For

To join our Child and Family Team as the Therapist, you must have experience supporting youths and families in their homes and the community, embrace daily travel as a valuable tool to provide that support and care and be passionate about bringing families together in a positive and healthy environment. Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license and current insurance.

We also require:

  • Full or provisional license as an LCSW (A), LPC/LCMHC (A) or LMFT (A)
