Spring 2025 internship
Easterseals PORT Health, is a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated intern to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team for a Spring internship.
What You’ll Do
Easterseals’ Therapy services provides one-on-one, group, and/or family counseling for clients with emotional and/or behavioral issues. As an intern, you will participate on a team to coordinate initial assessment and the development of the Person-Centered Plan (PCP). You will maintain clinical documentation according to program and Medicaid standards regarding service provision, assessment, and progress reports.
The internship could be on one of many teams to include Outpatient, Multi-systemic, Intensive In-home, Community Services Treatment or Assertive Community Treatment depending on your program supervision requirements and/or population preference.
How You’ll Benefit
This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, you will learn how to use skills acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting to gain a better understanding of a Therapy service provider.
What We’re Looking For
To join our team, you must be currently enrolled in a clinical mental health undergraduate or graduate program. We are also seeking interns with the below skills:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and internet applications
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
