Outpatient Therapist

Easterseals PORT Health’s mission is to improve the lives, health and well-being of individuals and families dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated fully licensed Therapist to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary outpatient therapy and medication assisted treatment team designed to provide crisis interventions and support to individuals in New Bern, NC.

What You’ll Do

As a Mental Health and Substance Use Therapist you will utilize screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments to develop client treatment goals and person-centered plans (PCP’s).  The PCP’s will include input from the clients regarding treatment and diverse after-care plans. The therapist may provide services to individuals and groups with substance use and mental health struggles to include initiating contact and working with family members or support systems in the care process.

This full-time position offers a flexible schedule Monday-Friday from 6 am-2 pm, 40 hours per week with evening flexibility depending on program and client needs. What We’re Looking For

To join our team as the licensed therapist you must have in-depth knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and group techniques as well as their practical application in an Outpatient setting, be able to work independently, be adept at problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis. We also require:

  • Full or provisional Substance Use licensure: LCAS (A) 
  • Experience in Substance use services preferred
