April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and advocate for the safety and well-being of children. Easterseals PORT Health is proud to highlight the dedication and compassion of our Child Placement team, who make a positive difference in the lives of children every day.

Nicole, Child Placement Coordinator
Nicole, a Child Placement Coordinator, knows firsthand how important it is to recognize and respond to signs of abuse. “Child Abuse Prevention Month raises awareness and educates people on recognizing and reporting the signs of child abuse. Early intervention can prevent further harm and ensure children receive the protection they need.”
In addition to child abuse prevention, Nicole believes in the power of community support. “It takes a village to lift up families and children. Easterseals PORT Health serves as that village. It’s our duty to protect, lead and ensure children grow into healthy, productive citizens. Creating safe, nurturing environments supports a child’s development and strengthens the entire community.”
During this Child Abuse Prevention Month, we recognize and offer sincere gratitude to Nicole and all of our dedicated team members who protect and advocate for children. Together, we are creating safer, brighter futures for the children and families we support. Learn more about our Foster Care program at eastersealsport.com/foster-care.
