May is National Foster Care Month and we’re honoring the selfless dedication of foster parents and the important role they play in the lives of children! We’re proud to highlight Antwan and Bryan, two extraordinary foster parents whose journey reflects the spirit of this month’s recognition.

For Antwan and Bryan, becoming foster parents wasn’t just about opening their home, it was about opening their hearts to the transformative power of love, patience and resilience. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of the positive changes we have the opportunity to witness every day in the lives of these children,” they shared. “Watching their joy over the simplest moments and their growth into amazing individuals is truly heartwarming.”
“Throughout our journey, we have found a sense of belonging, support and partnership with the Child Placement team. It has helped us navigate the highs and lows of foster parenting with confidence and connection,” says Antwan and Bryan. “Collaborating with the Child Placement team has been a deeply rewarding experience. The sense of community the team creates is genuinely inspiring.”
Bryan and Antwan believe National Foster Care Month is a time to elevate foster parent voices and raise awareness about the need for safe, nurturing homes for children. To those considering becoming foster parents, their advice is “Embrace the journey wholeheartedly. Be prepared to experience love, joy and even sadness. Stay curious, ask questions and trust your team. The emotions you will most likely encounter are beyond what words can capture.”
