May is Military Appreciation Month! Easterseals PORT Health is proud to honor the military service of our team members. This month we’re highlighting two team members from our Outpatient Services team: Donna and Marlow.

Pictured: Donna and Marlow
Donna is a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) who is part of our Medication Management team in Morehead City, NC. She shares, “I joined the Navy in 1982 and was on active duty for one year before transitioning to inactive duty. I was honorably discharged in 1988.” Reflecting on her service, Donna notes, “Boot camp taught me that I can push through and accomplish tasks even when I don’t want to. Being in the Navy also emphasized the importance of having a chain of command with leaders who have integrity, as well as being a dependable team member and being able to rely on one another.”
Marlow is a Qualified Professional at our Outpatient Clinic in New Bern, NC. He co-facilitates Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP), completes group notes of attendees and facilitates their transition to other Easterseals PORT Health services. He shares, “I served in the Marine Corps for 20 years. One lesson that continues to guide me is that external challenges will always be present, but the will to meet those challenges resides within me and that’s where I start.”
We extend a big thank you to Donna, Marlow and all our team members who have served in the military for their honor, duty and commitment to our country’s freedom.
